Bonjuk was established in 2002 in a small shop located in Daehangno, South Korea. What started as a modest venture quickly blossomed into a beloved brand known for its dedication to providing healthy, nutritious meals. Within just 6 years, Bonjuk became the first Korean franchise to surpass 1,000 locations, revolutionizing the traditional Korean porridge market.
Today, with over 2,000 locations globally, Bonjuk proudly opens its doors to North America, beginning in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Our journey continues as we introduce the warmth and authentic taste of Korean cuisine to North American tables.

Giving Back to the Community
Bonjuk Canada proudly supports the community by participating in cultural events and promoting Korean cuisine. During the Korean Canadian Festival, we donated ingredients for the bibimbap event and hosted free tastings to introduce Korea’s food culture. At the Vegan Festival, we sponsored the bibimbap event and provided complimentary sweet pumpkin porridge to promote Korean food’s health benefits.
